A honey salted word is a word that renews and heals. It is also a word that is honestβ€”honest because loving, truthful words set us free.

My What

I’m drawn to the slow, deep work of becoming.

Or, to say it another way, I’m passionate about intentionally nurturing soul wellness and fullness of life.

I define soul wellness as simply being filled to the brim with love, hope, and faithβ€”of the quality and kind that characterized the life of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Fullness of life is the bold, beautiful life that naturally flows from this place of soul wellness.

Opposite to what we’re told, this beautiful life doesn’t begin from the outside in, but from the inside out. It starts with and is sustained by tending to our life with God. A life with him that was always meant to be far more vibrant than most of us have dared believe, been told, or have allowed.

My Why

But soul wellness isn’t just about tending to our inner life.

A brief look at our worldβ€”and our experiences in itβ€”reveals realities that are both gut-wrenching and glorious. How do we navigate these whiplash-inducing extremes? Through faith, hope, and love.

The lifeline we need when we’re barely surviving? These three are the search-and-rescue teamβ€”and they’re up to the task. The rocket fuel that powers a joyful, thriving life? These graces are the sponsors that make such a life possible. And when it comes to operating at a level beyond even thrivingβ€”that is, reigning in life based on the promise of Romans 5:17β€”you can credit these three amigos for that too.

So, what could it do for you personally to know the peace, joy, strength, and security of a deeply renewed life?

What would our world be like if God’s people radiated ever-increasing measures of faith, hope, and love?

Soul wellness and fullness of lifeβ€”this is what God offers us. It’s what every human being was created to walk in. It’s what I most need and what I long for most.

This is why I’m committed to the journey of becoming.

Maybe you sense the same pull too.
